FOCUS: Help develop students' teamwork, communication and presentation skills for business with an interactive video challenge around the safety theme priorities of this UK gas delivery network.

394 students from eight Leeds primary schools took part in the first NGN Primary Challenge where business volunteers delivered workshops around their crucial safety messages on what to do if you smell gas, playing safely around NGN work sites and carbon monoxide awareness.

With help from the Theatre Outreach & Education Society from the University of Leeds, the Year 5 & 6 pupils were then challenged to create an engaging and effective video that can be used with primary schools across NGN’s operating area to raise awareness.

At the finale, held at the HEART Centre in Leeds, the young participants found out more about the work of NGN and took part in teambuilding activities before a screening of their videos took place.

The panel of NGN industry judges selected a winning film by pupils at Templenewsam Halton Primary School which will now be used as part of the education resources for primary schools all over the North.
