aspire2work: Workplace visit to Trinity Leeds

FOCUS: Help learners understand the range of careers available with one employer and how speaking a second language can help you get ahead in the business world

Eight learners from Aspire-igen Doncaster took an interactive tour of Landsec’s Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre.

They received a tour of the centre, Trinity Kitchen street food, back of house, the waste disposal system as well as Crafthouse (taking in the roof terrace.) Four EAL students attended and the Manager at Crafthouse explained how 19 different languages are spoken amongst their UK team at renowned luxury international restaurant chain D&D London.

The day finished with a discussion about how learners could prepare their CVs in if they were considering part time work for a brand like D&D London.
